Zack  a.k.a. ‘REDEYEZACK’  stands out as a true storyteller, a guitarist, actor and a poet who can conjure up images and transport you to a secret place with sweet, hypnotic, lyrical guitar vibes that border on the sublime. He is acclaimed for his intimate lyricism that resonates and connects on a spiritual level with his audience.

Zack  has been featured on Radio Reverb (Brighton) and performed in Barcelona  & Istanbul where he collaborated with ethnic/traditional instrument  musicians as well as incorporating tabla, bellydancers and a Bollywood dancer into a stageshow.

Zack’s musical journey started on his 18th birthday when his brother 'wheeling and dealing' gifted him a couple of string-less guitars from a loveable Punk (full mohican & tartan) named George! Totally inspired, he took to visiting Shane Hill, a local accomplished jazz guitarist for lessons, and his passion took off.

With a collection of 9 guitars that he had only played at home, he was not satisfied with his single genre, or playing style, and realised there was so much more! But, he quickly discovered he got a terrible stage fright. So, on his 21st birthday, Maz, his best mate from school set him a challenge to break the spell… Rising to the challenge, he started by busking on the London underground!

After performing with his first covers band Xile, playing a series of guitar-based tunes including songs from U2, Pink Floyd, The Police and Paul Simon, Zack was disenchanted and wanted to write his own music.

He left Xile to travel and explore this idea. Whilst traveling, he met other musicians securing gigs and collaborations in Barcelona and Istanbul.

Moving on to India to continue his discovery, his songs took a more evocative, colourful, cosmic and philosophical tone. Collaborating with ethnic and traditional instrument musicians, he also incorporated tabla, belly dancers and a Bollywood dancer into a stage show.

Zack explains his songwriting as guitar-based. The songs have a story to tell, each with its own personality, with 90% of the songs based on the lyrics which stand up on their own. The music then complements the lyrics. Some songs have a simple acoustic arrangement because the lyric is simple. The songs with deep and philosophical lyrics lend themselves to a deeper-darker rock orchestration represented with keyboards and warm, overdriven electric guitars, played in a hypnotic Indian drone style.

The melodies are memorable and uplifting, taking both the performance and the listener to another place. And, if a song were a person, then its heartbeat would be the drums or percussion, its feelings would be the guitars, and its dreams would be expressed by the keyboards.

As a guitarist Zack is found supporting local vocalists in a variety of genres. He is working on getting all his songs together and is currently mixing & mastering his single ' Secret Garden.' One of a 3-part trilogy of songs, the lyrics are an inter-woven tapestry of a romantic journey.

Zack has been featured on Radio Reverb (Brighton). He took a trip to India in December 2024 for even more inspiration and a view to experiment & collaborate to bring a deep and refreshing Eastern ambience to the stage.
